Get Quality Home Office Tech

While many companies provide their employees with the appropriate tech gear in a work-from-home situation, other employees aren’t so lucky. If your company didn’t supply you with the essential home office gear, or if you’re freelancing, make sure to get high-quality and functional equipment from a reputable brand. After all, this gear is what your livelihood depends on!

For the past three years, I’ve been writing from my home office. I knew I needed to get brand new gear when I first started, as my old headphones had a barely functioning mic, and my keyboard’s keys kept getting stuck. A friend recommended the innovative and premium Logitech products and I decided to try them out.

The brand offers a wide range of tech gear, including Bluetooth keyboards, mouses, speakers, webcams, etc. To describe my experience in a nutshell – I was amazed! The Bluetooth keyboard and headset that I got are still working as smoothly as on the first day. I also bought one of their quite affordable Logitech webcams along the way.

It produces great picture quality, and it also comes with video editing software – how cool is that? Nowadays, the brand offers even more advanced equipment, such as ergonomic office gear. Here are a few words on this amazing brand that got me through my quarantine work-from-home setting.

About the Brand

The Swiss-based Logitech brand was established in 1981 and rapidly spread to Silicon Valley. It places a strong emphasis on innovation and quality. Through the remarkable computer accessories, which include the cordless mouse, the thumb-operated trackball, the laser mouse, and more, outstanding Logitech products began bringing people together.

Since the beginning, they have significantly increased their global presence. Thousands of devoted customers all around the world vouch for the quality of their products. To create distinctive and impactful experiences, they put innovative design at the forefront of everything they produce.

Make Regular Breaks

Moving on from the tech side of things to something you can do every day to improve your experience – schedule breaks throughout the day! You already know that sitting in one place for hours at a time is bad for both your body and your mind. Studies show that “movement breaks” help remote workers focus more and feel better throughout their workday.

Sitting at a desk all day doesn’t just increase your chances of heart disease and obesity, but it also promotes anxiety and depression. Take a quick stroll, stretch, or make a yoga break. In actuality, anything that gets you up from your desk (and distracts from your current activity) will be beneficial. You’ll be more productive, avoid fatigue, and enhance your creativity if you take a brief break every hour.

What I like to do during my short breaks is take a deep stretch and move to my kitchen to brew myself a cup of black tea. This miraculous liquid, sweetened with a teaspoon of sugar, instantly improves my mood. It’s one of those beverages that taste delicious while also boosting your health. What are the benefits of drinking black tea, you ask? Here are five of its magical powers:

  • It gives you an energy boost;
  • Boosts your mental performance;
  • Improves your mood;
  • Improves your digestion;
  • Strengthens your immune system.

Declutter Your Workspace

Create a space that encourages productivity, instead of one that makes you irritable and grumpy. If you’ve been working from home for a while, there’s a good chance that your workstation is fairly cluttered. Decluttering is important even if you are anti-minimalist. Living and working in a mess is the worst thing you can do for your mental health (trust me, I’ve been there!). Not to mention it can make you sleepy and irritable.

Put away whatever you don’t use every day, and dump anything else you don’t use in the trash right away. Your workspace should be kept as tidy as you possible, with the exception of a few houseplants and one or two personal objects. If you don’t regularly get rid of old notes and papers, they accumulate very quickly!

Separate Work from Fun

Lastly, it’s all too simple for the lines between work and home life to blur when you work and live in the same place. Your family won’t be too pleased with you if you answer work-related messages at the dinner table. On the other hand, if you allow your family to bother you all day long, your productivity will suffer, and you’ll have to put in more time at the office to finish everything.

Establish boundaries for your availability during the day, both with your work team and the people you live with. When you’re constantly in your workspace, it’s difficult to “switch off” from work. Similarly, when you don’t leave the house, it’s also difficult to “turn on” your workday. If necessary, make plans in advance for your work and personal time to prevent burnout or the tendency to be “always on.”
